Transforming Lives CDC was formed to understand, connect and respond to needs within our community.
We have three primary focus areas: Health & Nutrition, Financial Literacy and Senior Support. Additional services will be added in future phases.
We believe collaboration is essential to making the greatest impact so we have strategically developed partnerships with other organizations and agencies who share our vision.

Transforming Lives Community Development Corporation is a non-profit organization based in Sumter, SC that is dedicated to helping those in need throughout the community. The organization was formed because of the need for comprehensive support services to help individuals and families facing food insecurity, challenges associated with aging, poverty, and other obstacles.
Our vision for Transforming Lives CDC is to create a holistic approach to support, with a focus on three key areas: Food Insecurity, Senior Support, and Financial Literacy. We believe that by addressing these fundamental needs, individuals and families can achieve greater stability and long-term well-being.
We operate to promote self-sufficiency and dignity for all individuals. The organization is committed to providing a range of services and resources that empower individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
Food Insecurity is a critical area of focus for Transforming Lives CDC, as many individuals and families in the community struggle with food insecurity. The organization operates a food pantry and partners with other area agencies to distribute healthy food options.
Senior Support is another essential area of focus for Transforming Lives CDC. The organization works to assist seniors with finding resources to assist with daily living activities, meal support, prescription assistance, transportation, safety, money management, fraud prevention, isolation, etc.
In addition to Food Insecurity and Senior Support, Financial Literacy is also a key area of focus for Transforming Lives CDC. The organization offers financial education workshops and one-on-one coaching to help individuals and families develop the skills and knowledge needed to achieve financial stability.
Transforming Lives CDC is powered by a team of dedicated volunteers who share a passion for making a difference in the lives of those they serve. With a commitment to transparency and accountability, the organization has earned the trust and support of the local community and beyond.
Transforming Lives CDC has made a significant impact in the lives of thousands of individuals and families throughout the Sumter area. By providing support, encouragement, and hope, Transforming Lives CDC is helping to build a stronger, more resilient community for all.
Transforming Lives Community Development Corporation is faith based and a subsidiary of Bible Way Church of Sumter.
